Actually, it'd be hard to do. Allawi isn't exactly PRO-American. He's often spoke out against the US, and that's reaassuring in that it's just enough to indicate that his drive is for Iraq not America's Iraq.
What really sucks for the left-a story lost in the Reagan memorials-is that Allawi believes that Saddam was involved in 911, has verified that document claiming Atta was trained by Abu Nidal, and claims that Iraq's unit 999 or those trained by them at Salman Pak...was involved in the actual hijackings.
Man, it'd be great if that came out soon.
Does anyone have anything to ADD to this "short" list
:)
Alawi isn't the only leader in the Middle East that suspects Saddam of involvement in 9-11.
Here is an interview with Prince Bandar. He is asked if Saddam had anything to do with 9-11. It is interesting. He seems to have some information but doesn't share it.

Your government has no information that he in any way supported, trained, this network?
BANDAR: No. We don't have anything solid of that. We think he's happy with the results. But we don't have anything solid on that.
Solid ... meaning?
BANDAR: Solid, meaning something you can take to the court, or something I can say to you in public on TV.
I tend to agree with Laurie Mylroie's theory about Saddam and 9-11. I am also reading the new book by Stephen Hayes. He details a lot of ties between Saddam and Islamists.
I am still reading the book.
