I have taken the needed steps that will insure that I am not kept alive past the time that I have a valid life.

As I got older, there was a need to determine what life was, his life would not be my choice.

That said, I had not heard that he was denied antibiotics, and would question the source closely.

He's to be buried at the library in Simi Valley, and the ranch is around Santa Barbara, which is where the fires are.

But I know what you mean, re: what a target the funeral could be. Only thing is, the jihadis seem to need a long time to plan their attacks, and this was a sudden thing.

Last week my husband and I took those same steps - got our Wills prepared and signed (and copies distributed) and our Living Wills (Hospital/Medical Directives) prepared as well. In these times it is foolish to think we are indestructible. Better that our family is aware of our wishes and inherit our worldly goods (rather than pay for bonds and fees that serve the State's coffers and delay distribution to our descendants and beneficiaries).
