Hell, aside from the five guys I work with, you folks are the only people I know.
And I have to work on the 2nd.
:-(
hehe ! Sure !! :^D
We need a FReeper boat, one that the RATS can't climb aboard. LOL!LOL !!
Thanks for the pics, Five ! :^)
Howdy everyone!
We had a great time FReeping in Ft Collins, rain and all! And really enjoyed meeting you all at lunch too. Colorado is great!!
We're now settled into our room at Colby, Kansas. Had to take a long detour because they closed I70 just out of Burlington due to a 14 car pileup. Don't know if it was weather related or not. It wasn't storming, but it was gusting with high winds.
Will be heading on to Columbia, Mo, in the morning.
Thank you, Colorado! We enjoyed our visit with you very much.
Nice rain shots.
Whew! Glad to hear you got to your hotel safe and sound. That was looking like some pretty ugly weather. I was concerned. I've been caught out driving in nasty weeather in Kansas and it isn't fun.
Solo Freeps of Leftists are fun. But sharing the fun with your fellow Freepers is much better. We had about 17 people at the "Typhoon at Toddy's" Freep, and almost 30 at the Johnson's Corner meal afterwards. At least some Freepers were out there at Toddy's from shortly after 11:00, until 12:50. The Leftists - at half their number of last week (3) lasted from 12:05 to 12:25, at which time they slouched home shortly after the rain began.
BTW - Some attending Freepers not mentioned above in Weld's post are The Shrew and his lovely wife Diva 2 (Diva Two?)
Here's what the curb looked like as we left. Just to the right of center you can see a tiny bit of it gasping for breath:
Nothing like a nice strong wind to make the flags look great:
We were waving all the time to the passersby demonstrating their support for our troops with their honks and waves and cheers. The honking just wouldn't stop! I'll bet this is really demoralizing to the Leftists.
FireEngineRed mans the SE corner:
Fivetoes gets his camcorder set up on the NE corner:
The Leftists were quiet today when we said the Pledge of Allegiance. When Duncan used to hang out with them, he would scream "Sieg Heil!" over and over, along with his best imitation Nazi salute, during the entire Pledge.
Don't feel bad if you can't make out the words on any of their signs (other than the meaningless "Women in Black" banner). None of the people driving by could make them out either.

Wow!! What a great day to be an American. You Missouri Freepers take good care of the Robinsons, now!
Below are the photos from WeldGOPhardline and FirePlugRed. I'll let them comment on them.

Nice pics Larry. It was a fun day even in the pouring rain.

Wow. I remember some of that kind of flooding on the streets in Colorado. We get a lot more rain here, but the roads don't seem to turn into lakes like there do there (although my front yard does sometimes....but only briefly).
Some great pictures there.
Second set of pix at 51.
Hey, Colorado..we will plan to do real good to the Robinsons. :)
They haven't gotten in yet, but we got the hotel folks to take a card and vase up to the room for when they do get in. (2046 hours currently).
Just to let you know that the Robinsons are in Columbia right now. :)
Thanks. I just checked in to see if anyone had heard from them. The weather has been brutal out there. Looks like y'all are gonna have a nice day tomorrow though. Have a great time. I'm looking forward to the report....and pictures!
Great!!
Thanks for the news! Must have been some nasty weather that caused that 14-car accident, closing down I-70 at Burlington yesterday. I'm glad they're past that now. (Having to face down bad weather twice, plus leftists once in the same day keeps things from getting too boring, eh?) Have a great Memorial Day out there. Post some photos!
Glad to hear y'all got to have Jim, Sheila and Chris join your ranks.
Great report and pics.
Keep up the good work.
Ping! Just in case you haven't seen this thread yet.
