Exactly! And it isn't a matter of us being too damned moral for our own good, but rather that some of us seem to have lost sight of what it means to be moral in the first place. For Heavens sake, nobody wants to kill innocent civilians, but it's a question of the greater good. When battling Nazism, Communism, Islam, etc., it would be a lot more shameful to handicap ourselves so much that we could not win (and thus condemn the whole world to centuries of slavery, ignorance, misery and death), than it would be to firebomb Dresden, say. Lesser of two evils.
