The quake was centered in a remote and sparsely populated area

Don't you believe it. Hundreds of squirrels and voles were startled out of their idyllic bliss for a moment.

I used to have two running springs, sometimes year-round, on my acres. After our large '89 quake, they vanished. I suppose they found another course underground and are emerging elsewhere now. I always wanted to develop those springs.........wish they'd come back.

"Scientists say the Denali fault earthquake...is believed to be the first in modern times in North America to trigger large-scale changes in geysers and hot springs so far away."

Based upon what evidence? How long has it been that scientists have had the equipment and been doing simultaneous monitoring in diverse locations to even have any long-term data to compare? "Socratic is believed to be one in modern times who thinks that many scientists put speculation and personal bias above science." (And you can quote me). "I just did." (Shut up Socratic you may be too literal to be a scientist).
