David Berg said Moore has handled the situation with "dignity, respect and discipline."

There is nothing dignified about Michael Moore. Give me a break.

I'm in a hurry guys, so no time to see if anyone has posted any info on this...but here's a link to info on a conference that was to be held in Aug 2003. Could this be the one? Was Berg said to be in the US at that time?

http://www.new-fields.com/Iraq/index.htm

There is a pop-up window where you can see companies that attended. I didn't see Berg's company. Did I miss it?

I'm guessing that Moore put Berg up to it. Berg probably thought he was going to get some good info on those fun-loving guys from al Qaeda for Moore's movie.

This article puts a nice face on the Nick Berg/Michael Moore connection, but it still seems too freakish to just be a happy coincidence. Why would Moore have wanted a dry interview with a prospective businessman? Not his style. The best case scenario for Michael Moore is that Berg really was just a regular guy going to Iraq to make a buck, and Moore planned on making him look really bad in his film. The worst case scenario for Michael Moore is that Nick Berg was one of his "spies" in Iraq. It seems like Moore is trying to sweep this interview under the carpet, while having one guy come out and say it's just a dry, bland interview (again----does that sound like a Michael Moore interview?).

Before this article, I didn't realize that Michael Moore actually has other people conduct interviews for his films. Does anybody know how common it is for him to do that?
