Muller was scheduled to be on C-SPAN's Washington Journal this A.M. but canceled at the last minute.

I'm a Nam vet and have participated in Rolling Thunder a couple of times. It would seem to me that the organizers of RT could have made alternate plans this year. We got the Vietnam Memorial before both the Korean and WWII Memorials. In effect, the memorials have come in reverse order. Riding through DC with 200,000 motorcycles, drowning out the weekend dedication of the overdue WWII Memorial is not my idea of winning the hearts and minds of the American people.

For me, I plan to be in the midst the WWII vets, who are leaving us much to quickly, thanking them for their service.

The deidication of the WWII memorial is on Saturday and Rolling Thunder will ride on Sunday. I don't see RT competing with or "drowning out" the WWII dedication, but rather, complementing it. RT has been using the Memorial Day weekend since 1987.

The memorial dedication today was great. Don't you think the WWII vets would respect the Vietnam vets? They are after all their fathers.

Especially after what they endured upon returning to the US only to be spit on due to the efforts of the liberal Kerry crowd.

The anti-war types were the very ones doing that spitting.

I think you're wrong. This is exactly the kind of activity that will increase public interest in the event.
