What I don't understand is why Moore never told anybody about this until the article yesterday at Salon.com.

If there is nothing sinister about this, why wouldn't he have called the family and said, "I met with your son, I have video of him, quite possibly the last videos of him, would you like to see it?"

The part I found the strange was;

In Iraq, Berg partnered with an ex-Philadelphia Iraqi expatriate who'd been convicted in a Russian-exile crack-vial ring before becoming the highly visible leader of an anti-Saddam Hussein group backed by the Bush administration.

There seems to be a lot more to NB than initially meets the eye.

Contacting Nick Bergs family & offering them the last videos of their son would have been a nice thing to do. I don't see Moore as a nice person doing anything for that reason. It would not have helped Moore in any way.
