The same thing occurred in Louisville, KY two weeks ago. Marathon/Ashland Oil accepted responsibility for the damage and is paying claims. The number effected is over 10,000.

Now, I am not one to don the tin-foil beanie, but this is happening at the very worst time in terms of gasoline prices. Prices in areas serviced by this refinery are going to go through the overhead, maybe up to $3.00 a gallon when you add taxes. $3.00 on a gas station sign is going to have political ramifications.

Got a shell station 500 yards from here on US 1 in Juno Beach that has this problem. No gas.

Sulfur in the fuel will also damage catalytic converters and Exhaust Gas Oxygen sensors.

Bad business, but customers probably won't know it until next time they go for an emissions test.

My fuel gauge sensor started acting bad several months ago.
After the gas in the tank got below half full, the gauge
shows empty.
I buy my gas at an Race Trac station. Don't know where the
gas comes from, but either a Houston or Corpus Christi refinery.
