A few months ago, during an awards program (I forget which one, Wanda Sykes (an alleged comedienne) was interviewing people in the audience. She walked up to Bill Cosby, who was seated by the aisle, and tried to interview him. When she asked why his program was so successful, Cosby, obviously annoyed by Sykes' use of "non-standard English" (i.e., "shuckin' and jivin"), just looked at her stone-faced and said "we spoke English". Sykes quickly ended the interview, and moved on.
