Even Canada's Conservatives support the single-payer system. Where they differ with the ruling Liberals is how to make it deliver better health services at less cost to the taxpayers.

This is from 2004.....Canada has been making some changes, from what I understand, allowing PRIVATE clinics...because of the problems with the single payer system....(I was living in Canada when Docs were going on strike, in 1999)
