New evidence may incriminate the accuser, but I don't see how it make Kobe Bryant a better man.

It keeps him from doing life in prison.

How many men of lesser means are doing time due to the accusations by trollops like this one?

New evidence may incriminate the accuser, but I don't see how it make Kobe Bryant a better man. Whether it makes KB a better man or not is not the issue. He already admitted adultery, to his wife, to the world. For those who say "hit 'em where it hurts--in the wallet" to athletes and public figures who think they can do whatever they want, Kobe has been hit there. Loss of endorsements, loss of image, loss of peace of mind, loss of practice time with his team...the list goes on.

However, the issue is not to make Kobe Bryant a better man. It is to make him (or, since he is only accused and not convicted, to keep him) a FREE man. If she said that she didn't have sex afterwards, and she did, that goes against the credibility of the accuser, and perhaps even questions whether or not she perjured herself under oath.

It will be interesting to see what happens next. For the moment, legally and in the court of public opinion, he is innocent until proven guilty. We'll see what happens next.

Some have said that his efforts have been heroic, playing under the strain of this all season. I disagree. Heroism is that you keep it in your pants, and your pants on (so as to include both genders), until you are married, and once so, stay true to your spouse.

Since that horse has fled the barn, you can say that he has performed the job of basketball incredibly well, especially on the days where he has had a court date, followed that evening by a game...as he does tomorrow night. On that, anyone could agree.

It doesn't. Just makes him a free man.

Non of us, I'm sure want to send an innocent man to jail or pay millions on bogus charges. There's some justice tho, he's had to pay much to clear his name over a few stolen minutes of pleasure.
