Crime laboratory evidence shows the 19-year-old woman who has accused Kobe Bryant (news) of rape had consensual sex with another man hours after she said the basketball star raped her, MSNBC reported on Wednesday.

In the FBI, they'd call that a clue! This woman is probably lying, because I don't see how any woman who was REALLY raped could engage in sex within hours of said rape.
To add to that point, although it is up to the judge to dismiss the case or send it on to trial...let me say this. My best friend of almost 30 years was married 13 years ago. Of course, I was his best man, and my partner/escort was the bride's maid of honor. She was a wonderful woman, really nice, loved God, chaste, was waiting for her wedding day before having sex.
Three years later, my best friend and his wife told me that she had been raped, for a much longer time than was alleged to have happened by Bryant (hours vs. minutes). It almost destroyed her, so much to the point that even my friends haven't heard from her in years. I don't know, but perhaps only her faith kept her alive.
I will grant, the expressed behavior of this woman, and the reaction of my friends' friend, are polar opposites. I just contend, based on the above story, that it seems weird to have been raped, certainly as traumatic an experience for a woman as exists in the world, and then has sex with ANYONE else just hours later. JMHO.
I worked with a woman who accused a prominent Ft. Worth attorney of rape. I smelled a set-up from the first, as she sashayed around the office, relishing the sympathy from the dupes who believed her.
She was lying, of course, but his reputation was ruined in the press.
Rape victims act like rape victims, not like Indian hunters, nailing the latest scalp to the wall.
If anything, it's more like finding guilt for her filing false charges, although an insanity defense is plausible for her.
If I were the Colorado attorney assigned to prosecute this case, I would beg to be reassigned, or I'd flat out quit. There is no way I'd let my career be destroyed by prosecuting a case that would inevitably portray me nationally as a fool.
True. It just means there is reasonable doubt. (Go Lakers).
Unless it was a "notch" on her lipstick case.
The guy's name is Hurlbert, and he's the Eagle County DA.
He's already the fool. He says he has airtight evidence, yet doesn't seem to know what the defense attorney, Pamela Mackey, knew three months ago!, that this accuser had sex with someone after her encounter with Bryant.
Can you say "reasonable doubt"?
Mark Hurlbert did this to himself; most of the attorney in Eagle who sat in on the hearings said on the very first day he should drop the case.
And I guess quite a few people around here owe Pamela Mackey an apology, huh?
YOur so busted!!! LOL!
According to sources, the alleged victim acknowledged that she had sex with Pietrack two days before her encounter with Bryant, and that she and Herr had relations two weeks prior to the incident.
Sources also tell ABC News that the defense wants records of text messages sent by the alleged victim to Herr and others in the hours surrounding the incident with Bryant.
I'll say. And get her phone number in case they're ever in a legal bind.
Twenty bucks for a scratch-n-sniff.
How did you get hip to ping lists if you joined FR 5?23/2004? Have you been reborn with a sparkle? LOL!
I don't see how he can continue this charade once this hits the Eagle County Press, and people like Craig (I forget his last name) get hold of it.
Dan Abrams will have a field day with this tomorrow night.
I agree with you. Colorado law is especially strict. She can say "yes" until the point of penetration then say "no". I'm not sure this is reasonable.
To my mind she shares a great deal of the blame. But, in Colorado, the law is on her side. I say it hinges on the judge's instructions to the jury ... and whether the jury applies the instructions.
Yeah right! Young, pretty, popular WHITE girl has sex with black male - we'll just drop that right now...
No, instead we'll look at how we can hide the truth behind that sweet ol' rape shield law... We can do this! It's done every day, all day long in courts throughout this country! It's a "slam dunk!" And, it may still be, depending on what the jury DOESN'T hear (or the public) about this lily white sweet little girl! You have NO idea what injustice has been hidden behind the "rape shield law," and hopefully you are female and will never find out, or you never come into contact with a sick b!!!h!!!
Heh heh heh. Seeya on "Dr. Phil," dumbass.
;O)
Looking at Court TV, he may have discussed it on his show tonight; watch for the rerun. I sure am........LOL.
GO LAKERS!
That's exactly what he did.
