Unfortunately, yes. There are many medical and health related professional organizations, such as the American Psychiatric and American Psychological Associations, the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, et al. toe the homosexual agenda line and have issued position statements similar to AAP's:

"a growing body of scientific literature demonstrates that children who grow up with one or two gay or lesbian parents fare as well in emotional, cognitive, social, and sexual functioning as do children whose parents are heterosexual."

The American College of Pediatricians was formed to counterbalance this social activism.
