"increased risk of mental health problems, including major depression, anxiety disorder, conduct disorder, substance dependence, and especially suicidal ideation and suicide attempts."

Not surprising. Serious question here. Is there any correlation between homosexuality and hyper behavior / tendencies? Every gay person I have ever encountered through out my life versus hetero's have all displayed various stages of hyper behavior, mania, ocd like behavior, addiction potential which down the road panned out. There must be a link with being gay and hyper-neurosis, right? It can't be a coincidence.

Do you mean like children who misbehave in order to get attention?

As in, homosexuality is public sexual acting up for attention? A fetish look at me?

I don't know if there's a correlation between homosexuality and hyper behavior / tendencies, but consider the following:

What Homosexuals Say About Homosexuals (Is This Gay Behavior Sick?)

"Let´s look at gay behavior as defined by two gays, Marshall Kirk and Hunter Madsen Ph.D., authors of After the Ball: How America will Conquer its Fear and Hatred of Gays in the 90´s (1989).

In Chapter Six, they outline “ten categories of misbehavior,” drawn from their own experiences, wide reading and thousands of hours of conversation with hundreds of other gays. Their contention is that the gay lifestyle, not gay sexuality mind you, “is the pits.” They want gays to improve their image by addressing “what is wrong with a lot of gays.” (276). What follows are some highlights...

•  They say gays suffer from a “narcissistic” personality disorder and they give this clinical description: “pathological self absorption, a need for constant attention and admiration, lack of empathy or concern for others, quickly bored, shallow, interested in fads, seductive, overemphasis on appearance, superficially charming, promiscuous, exploitative, preoccupied with remaining youthful, relationships alternate between over idealization and devaluation...”

New Study Confirms Higher Level of Psychiatric Disorders Among Men and Women Engaging in Same-Sex Behavior

"Two recent studies published in the Archives of General Psychiatry found higher rates of psychiatric disorders among homosexually oriented men and women than among the heterosexual population (Herrell 1999 & Fergusson 1999). Those articles mentioned that a third study, not yet published, had confirmed their findings."

Same-Sex Sexual Behavior and Psychiatric Disorders

Arch Gen Psychiatry. 2001;58:85-91

Background It has been suggested that homosexuality is associated with psychiatric morbidity...

Results Psychiatric disorders were more prevalent among homosexually active people compared with heterosexually active people.

Conclusion The findings support the assumption that people with same-sex sexual behavior are at greater risk for psychiatric disorders.

I wouldn't worry about it. Every problem/condition/symptom/disease the gays have are all due to the bigotry and homophobia of heteros and the gays having to keep their lifestyle in the closet for so long.

If it weren't for the hate-mongering Christians and conservatives, gays would be walking talking perfect examples of humanity with nary a worry or a harsh word.
