Artistic drought, my @ss. There are thousands of incredible bands out there that the major labels refuse to sign. The RIAA is an impediment to good music and have only themselves to blame. Whiners!

I couldn't agree more! The internet and downloading have increased my music purchases from about 1 or 2 CD's a year to about 25-30. There are incredible bands and musicians out there that cannot get airplay on the radio. I haven't listened to radio in years as it's all new junk (rap, teen idol, formula music) or classic rock that I've heard a million times.

Anyone looking for great music need only do some web searches and find it. Most groups have music samples on their sites. If your into progressive rock, this is the best time ever for great artists!
