SEATTLE, WA (Talon News) -- The comments made by a liberal radio talk show host allegedly calling for the death of President George W. Bush and Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld for "war crimes" have been confirmed by an audiotape of the original broadcast obtained exclusively by Talon News.
As Talon News first reported last Thursday, a listener to The Mike Webb Show, which airs from 10:00 p.m.-1:00 a.m. on 710 AM KIRO in Seattle, Washington, said that Webb had "called for the death of President Bush and Secretary Rumsfeld for 'war crimes.'"
Despite maintaining his innocence by claiming he never called for the death of the president or anyone because he is opposed to the death penalty, the audio copy of Webb's show proves otherwise.
During the 10:00 p.m. hour last Tuesday night, Webb was speaking in an angry tone regarding the Iraqi prison abuse story when he began his death penalty remarks against Bush.
"[The prison abuse in Iraq] is a war crime, committed by the president of the United States," Webb declared on his show. "And do you know what the punishment for that is? Death!"
After declaring Bush being guilty of committing a "war crime," Webb compared the president with death row convicts in Texas.
"So, I say if this man has committed a war crime, and they can prove it, let's let George Bush get the final justice that he has meted out as Governor of Texas, laughing at people who have been sent to the death chamber, let him face the death penalty for the war crime he has committed," Webb contended.
Declaring that administering the death penalty to the president "is constitutional," Webb included other Bush administration leaders in the list of those who "should get the death penalty," including Rumsfeld and Vice President Dick Cheney, because they are all "war criminals."
Webb went further with his comments by pointing to the Geneva Convention and affirming his belief that Bush should be put to death.
"If this is proven to be true, that he knew what was going on, it's a violation of the Geneva Convention," Webb stated. "When you commit a war crime, which is punishable by death."
Webb then asks his listeners a question and quickly answers it for himself.
"[S]hould George Bush get the death penalty? I say yes," Webb exclaimed.
Continuing his vilification of Talon News on his show's weblog, Webb personally attacks a Talon News reporter by labeling him "America's #2 Neo-Con-News-Hound."
Webb describes the Talon News reporter as a "GOP Buddy" with "little go-arounds with the Dems." Webb then concocts a story that the reporter grew up with liberal movie producer Michael Moore in Michigan.
Despite Webb's attempt to take the attention off of his apparent death threats against Bush, the outrage towards him and his statements continues to spread across the country.
As previously reported by Talon News, people who are concerned with Webb's comments should contact Entercom Communications Seattle Market Manager Kevin McCarthy at 206-726-7000 or KIRO General Manager Dave Pridemore.
Also, since many listeners to Webb's show have inquired about how to report comments made by Webb to the appropriate federal authorities, the Secret Service may be contacted by calling 202-406-5708 and the Federal Communications Commission can be reached at 888-835-5322.
A copy of the full audio broadcast of the May 18 edition of The Mike Webb Show may be obtained for one more week through Tempo IV, Inc. by calling 425-825-5544.
Aren't we meant to believe that these Lefties are the TRULY COMPASSIONATE,CARING people in our society?Yet,EVERY time they open their mouths, out comes vitriol, hatred,ad hominum attacks,DEATH-THREATS!!!It's like El Rushbo says about them(The Left),take their POWER away and they begin to self-destruct!!!!By the look of things, they are well underway!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Get a rope!
We have some excellent Seattle conservative talk show hosts: Kirby Wilbur, John Carlson (silver medalist, 2000 gubernatorial election), Rusty Humphries, Mike Siegel, Michael Medved, Rabbi Daniel Lapin (standin, I think)... for starters.
Though come to think of it, I haven't heard about this from any of them. They ought to get the audio tape and make a big fuss about it.
It gets worse after that.
Well, at least he favors the death penalty for republicans. It's a start. Later on, maybe he'll add to the list Criminals Who Deserve To Die.
Looking at Webb's bio on his personal website (http://www.mikewebb.org/), you can see what kind of moonbat we're dealing with here.
When the liberals want our President dead, we know we elected the best man for the job.
FOUR MORE! FOUR MORE!
Man, I'd hate to be on one of those sites. You wouldn't want to make this guy incensed.
Don't people go to jail for making threats against the president? I thought they could even go to jail for encouraging others to harm the president. I guess if your a liberal pundit the rules don't apply.
Because, if liberals don't LIKE a law.....it doesn't really exist.
Follow up bump...an official term for this is "moral relativism". Simply stated, there is no right and wrong, and the reason people prefer this is because once such a person acknowledges that there is right and wrong, he/she is accountable.
It's the same reason that some don't want to believe in God (the true one), because the second they do, they are accountable to Him. That blows out the rationale for their acceptable behaviors:
love of money/people/elites (1st Commandment), foul language, or living nuanced lives while claiming to be His (3rd), taking a day off to worship and rest (4th), honoring parents (5th), murder/abortion/hate, theft, lying/slander, adultery/lust (6th-9th), and coveting (10th), which includes 1-9.
That is a more theological answer to the original question.
Oh.
They just don't know where to start-he's ass all over.
This must have been before KVI became a leading Seattle conservative talk show station. (The first, I think.)
The Liberal 'Phoenix Project 2004' gains steam....
It's so frustrating to see the obvious double standard that exists for comments by conservatives and comments by the left.
Hopefully, our story will bring more attention to this craziness.

I think the "Moral Relativism" of the left is a myth they propogate on par with their legendary "compassion for the little guy" and "concern for the well-being of minorities". Moral Relativism would be far preferable to whatever it is liberals are doing. At least with Moral Relativism, conservatives might come out ahead 50% of the time.
I would say that Libs today practice an extreme form of Moral Absolutism, on par with Al-Qaeda or The Spanish Inquisition. Remember James Carville's book: "We're Right They're Wrong". That's the exact opposite of Relativism.
If any libs are reading this, please note that I am not questioning your patriotism.
If that is true, then we have already lost!
There is no way that this can be allowed to stand without consequenses...I don't care if it happened in Seattle, it's just wrong.
Despite maintaining his innocence by claiming he never called for the death of the president or anyone because he is opposed to the death penalty, the audio copy of Webb's show proves otherwise.
The lying about his own statements.
