What racist reference? The NY post could find a way to make shredded wheat offensive. The first thing that came to my mind was linking Brit royalty - colonies - American = pre rev war submission/manners.
If I were in England I would show the proper royal respect, on American soil, "Your Highness", etc, would be out of the question. That war was fought a long time ago.

I think HRH was referring to a time when Africans were living in British colonies and not to the RevWar. And the Post is conservative.
