May 26, 2004 -- WASHINGTON The Bush campaign yesterday launched a new TV attack ad blasting John Kerry for voting for the anti-terror Patriot Act and then speaking out against it. "John Kerry? He voted for the Patriot Act, but pressured by fellow liberals, he's changed his position," the narrator of the ad says."While wiretaps, subpoena powers and surveillances are routinely used against drug dealers and organized crime, Kerry would now repeal the Patriot Act's use of these tools against terrorists."
"John Kerry: playing politics with national security," the commercial concludes.
The negative spot will run on cable channels nationally and on broadcast stations in 17 key battleground states.
To back up the claims in the ad, the Bush campaign dug up quotes by Kerry during the primary season when liberal Howard Dean was the far-ahead front-runner in which Kerry called the anti-terror law a "blind spot in the American justice system" and said, "It is time to end the era of John Ashcroft. That starts with replacing the Patriot Act."
The Kerry campaign called the ad "completely false," saying Kerry himself used wiretaps when he was a prosecutor in the Boston.
But Kerry's campaign Web site criticized roving wiretaps wiretaps allowed of a person, not just a particular phone that were included in the Patriot Act.
Meanwhile, Kerry launched his new campaign plane and poked fun at himself, joking that "in the event of an emergency, my hair can be used as a flotation device."
Smart. Portray Kerry as a Leftist AND a flip flopper with his own words.
LOL! I still think he's going to ask the debate commission to allow him to answer each question twice.

Kerry: Bush's foreign policy raises gas prices
PORTLAND, Ore. --Democratic presidential hopeful John Kerry said Tuesday that drivers are paying a "Saudi-George Bush gasoline tax" because the president hasn't pressured oil-producing nations to increase their output.
Kerry, speaking in the swing state of Oregon, also said he has "a level of trust" with world leaders that would allow him to repair relationships he says President Bush has damaged with his foreign policy.
"I believe it will take a new president of the United States to clear the air, to re-establish American credibility in the world and to be able to reach out to leaders, not just in the Middle East, but all over the world," the Massachusetts senator said.
I saw the ad and thought it was great...Flip/Flop.
I'm sure he voted for it before he voted against it.

John Kerry: A not just another liberal Hair Head.
I find this to be rather interesting. Phones rather than people commit crimes. So it is perfectly OK to listen in on perfectly innocent people, provided you have a court order to tap the phone.
But if a dangerous and sophisticated suspect borrows someone else's cell phone, you can't listen in, even with a court order.
Yes, that makes sense, in Dimworld.
Thanks!

HEHE...I heard one of his relatives was arrested messing around with another candidates telephone box in the basement of the office. At least we know his campaign is probably telling the truth this time.
"The Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) is the largest socialist organization in the United States, and the principal U.S. affiliate of the Socialist International (also in Francais and Espanol). DSA's members are building progressive movements for social change while establishing an openly socialist presence in American communities and politics...
