Yes. But they don't know how Americans would react.

If thousands more Americans were killed by Islamic terrorists, then our reaction might be stronger than even we would bring ourselves to imagine mow. We might do things the morality or necessity of which we would spend the next century debating among ourselves and with the Europeans. But we would be alive to debate these matters and wonder about the fate of our eternal souls when we die of natural causes after long lives.

I agree.

However, what if the terrorists from the "Religion of Peace" Cult of Death decide to launch a series of simultaneous small scale attacks (i.e. coordinated homicode bombers)? The number of lives lost would likely be small by comparison of 9/11, but the "terror" inflicted on the average citizen could be higher. If this were to happen, and I hate to say this, but I think the Libs/Dems/Socialists would all be screaming that it's the President's fault, he should of done more, he did too much, blah blah blah. In this scenario, our reaction would probably be tempered and the politicizing of the attack(s) would begin by the Left.

Personally, I hope I'm wrong and we Americans unite and rise to defeat the Islamofascist movement once and for all. The Left never got the memo, but the Third World War began on 9/11/01.

I keep going back to the initial hours after 9/11. Americans did not riot, did not turn against one another, but we turned toward each other, offering and receiving help. That's how we reacted to the chaos around us, that's who we are underneath the surface of society, good and decent people and fortunately we are being led now by a good and decent man.

There is no doubt in the minds of many of us that we will be hit again and as you say, I think we will react as strongly, perhaps more strongly than before. And in the midst of that reaction we will do what we did with the chaos of 9/11, be helpful to other Americans and allies.

And rein hell upon those who caused it.
