Detroit and the shores of Lake Erie are what, three - four hour drive away?

Windsor, Ontario (right across a small river from Detroit) and N. Vancouver, British Columbia host the two largest FUNDELMENTALISTS Muslim communities outside of the Arab world.

The only thing separating Windsor from the U.S.? Lake St. Marys, the Detroit River and Lake Erie...and miles of open shoreline.

I assume you mean Lake St Clair(almost the size of a small Great Lake).

There's the St Clair river too further North between Lake Huron and Lake St Clair.

Add to that the Dearborn community that is about a half hour from the Windsor community. Dearborn, MI has one of the highest concentration of middle eastern immigrants in the US (on the east side).
