>Another atrocity here will galvanize most Americans again, and expose the whining anti-American libs for what they are. If it's big enough any Muslims still here might want to think about getting out fast (unfortunately this includes a very nice couple I know, but it also includes some I Just Do Not Trust At All). It will be time to Clean House.
How would these scenarios impact the Presidential Election?
1. There is a successful terrorist attack in October that kills 5,000-10,000 Americans.
2. There is an attempted terrorist attack that fails to kill many Americans. The terrorists are captured after the fact.
3. The US thwarts a terrorist attack, seizing their WMDs and capturing the terrorists.
4. There is no terrorist attack on the US, but we have had the nation at high levels of alert most of the summer and fall.
5. There is a successful terrorist attack on London. You've overrun my limited skills at punditry. But I will take a stab at it, and let the chips fall where they may:
1. Bush is re-elected. (Look at 9/11, look at Spain.)
2. #1, but even more so.
3. #2, but even more so.
4. Can't call. (Further affiant sayeth nought. :-)
5. Um. Too dependent on actual circumstances to call.

Wouldn't the attack in Spain indicate a Kerry win?
