He's entitled to his opinion. But it never ceases to amaze me how many "Cold War"-types, who saw the Russian threat, just don't get it with terrorism. Apparently, it's not only the generals who fight the last war, but the authors, too.
I totally agree. Clancy's work has been steadily going down hill for some time now.
His last book consisted of hundreds of pages used to setup the story, followed by a dozen or so pages of action. One would think after reading it that Clancy intentionally tried to gloss-over the climax of the whole book.
Never again will I waste my time with the man's writing. How can his books be that long, and yet have dozens of loose ends from various plot lines at the end? Based on the rumors, it may simply be a case of Clancy using cheaper ghost writers these days...
