My principal reasons for being against the legislation are that it won't work, the bureaucrats will make things worse to get bigger budgets, it will be hugely expensive and unjust. The problem is just too complex for bureaucratic systems to manage. It often requires speed and risk taking to which they are not suited. I can see nothing but evil coming from this.
The last thing this state needs is more commitees sucking up money. I thought we all were all supposed to tighten our belts???
If it's that big of a problem, then just use their official propaganda organs, such as the Los Angeles Times, and advise people to dispose of non-native plants.
