Yeah. I found that out the other night after my post. Went back to check in and saw that it had been locked.
It was about time after that length of time LOL.

Still kicking. Just not as active. Getting sold out tends to make one lose interest.

The Pope??? Sorry I don't follow the Pope and never would since his office is mentioned nowhere in the Bible.

Then who canonized the books of the Bible, if not that Pope?

Have you ever watched Journey Home, Marcus Grodi's program on EWTN?? Every week he interviews Prots who have become Catholic. We are on that road ourselves. It is an interesting journey. For me -- if it is the Lord's call, I have to follow.

Your church teaches that salvation is granted through dispensations of grace from the church

That is so false I don't even know where to start. Salvation is granted by grace that comes from God, not the church. One does not "earn" their way into heaven, it is a gift that God grants. For Catholics, it is not enough just to believe in Christ to earn eternal salvation. Taking Christ into your heart does not equal a free pass into heaven. Jesus' blood opened the gates of heaven to those who deserve it, it was not a "blanket" to cover and cloak our sins from God. It is how you conduct yourself on this earth that will determine where your salvation lies. For Catholics, there is no such thing as being "saved" on earth.

Yes, there were times when members of the Church fell into human failings and sold grace to people, but that doesn't happen anymore. Humans are humans and we all have failings and fall into sin.

And I guess we will see how the Evangelical Christian African Americans vote in November as well. Do not paint an entire church's teachings on how it's members vote.

The AA community is extremely religious, yet they vote Democrat, so does that reflect on their church teachings as well, or does is that reserved just for judging Catholics?

You're argumentation doesn't address the point I made. You're actually arguing an unstated assumptive that I didn't imply.
Whether you say grace comes from God or not, you teach that the Clergy dispenses it through the sacrements. Thus, without your clergy, there is no salvation. You can try refuting that; but, in the doing, you'll be excommunicating yourself.

I'd also note that said dispinsations are done over time - not all at once. And your salvation largely depends on how much grace you have at any given point, thus you're always seeking more grace from the church but never reasonably sure if they've given you enough to get the job done. It's not a new debate.
