On Monday I will be going to the cememtery where my father is buried in the Veteran's Garden. He was a veteran of the North African and Italian campaigns during WWII, and was awarded two Bronze Stars.
Each Memorial Day the local veterans organize a service at this site, complete with buglers and current service people. I will be attending with my son and grandchildren.
