Watched the speech. Appalled that it wasn't carried on any of the majors. However, I was very glad to see an old buddy of mine, Lt. Col. Mike Bills (whose Cav squadron was the lead element into Iraq at the beginning of Desert Storm, won a Silver Star), shaking hands with the President.

Congratulations, Bulldog, we all knew you would be destined to wear the stars one day.

I liked the plan yet would have enjoyed him saying that it was too bad the terrorists had chosen this time to move against us. Too bad they didn't wait for a more 'appeasement' oriented administration to come along.

When you pick/start a fight, you ought to have enough intel on your opponent to know you can win. I guess after eight years of Clintler, they figured it would be a cakewalk. Which only goes to show that, democrats need to be elected occasionally to spring the prey toward the bait pile.

Hunting is fun. Thinning the world's herd of sick, suicidal, maniacs ought to come with a trophy.

I liked this speech.

I got to thinking while listening to Pres. Bush give this last night and I think about 20% of the speech was directed at a US audience while the other 80% was directed at an IRAQI audience.

If you go back and read it imagine that you are an Iraqi listening to the POTUS wondering what the plan is from the CINC of the forces you see everyday.
