Yes,tonight's speech WAS rather like that.
If the president had been all touchy-feely/emotional, he would have been seen as weak!

Holbrooke stinks, and Holmes is lapping it up.

Every one of the 5 points is old news There's more hypocrisy within the press and the left. How can they at the same time say it's "old news" and say they have never heard a plan??

Wolfowitz is a neocon, there's no back down in him. Neocons are not homogenous. Some are male and some are eunuchs.

The plan, which Bush cannot state formally, is to gain full U.S. operational power, both political and military, in the heartland of terrorists (the entire mideast.) But, Bush is laying it out like a draw polker hand...one card at a time. The truth is heard, but the data given by this one card draw approach generates a true puzzle within the populus That's one of the problems: Bush's public relations effort stays clear of the whole truth, that is: 'we will subdue the entire middle east threat,' a logical presupposition and also a consequence: The long-term goal--as stated--by Bush is insufficient to rally the masses. But to do otherwise, and lay out the big picture, would, in this Zeitgeist, be most un-PC. Good post.
Most likely that's the plan.
I think Arafat, who sits and waits is the final cad...ah, I mean card.

Did you hear Perle accuse Zinni of being an anti-semite? Smarmy comment from Holbrooke that the President better be praying a lot, since he is known to pray.
Holbrooke will be baack in power if Kerry is elected, perhaps as SOS. This would be a disaster.
Zinni and Clancy up next.

forgive my ignorance, but what does MSM stand for?
To: kristinn
caller to C-SPAN blasted fellow Democrats for their hatred of Bush. Said he doesn't always agree with Bush, but as a twenty-year veteran who fought in two wars (leaving parts of his body behind) he'd go to Iraq if President Bush called him up. Wow. You have to wonder how many other Democrats feel this way...you sure as heck aren't going to hear it from the Fraudcast Lamescream Media.

There's another NBA series going on?Shouldn't that read NBA serious?

Holbrooke knows about a litany of past failures, the Clinton handling of terror against us...
He says the call for another resolution because of TB was the biggest blunder...Well Tony was under the gun and our most helpful ally...Rock and a hard place.

Just remember: Zinni hid under Clinton's skirt after US Cole.
Tom Clancy is dead broke and needs his book to sell in order to pay LOTS of money to his ex-wife.

Thanks for the info. Learn something new every day.
It's good to hear the custard place is still there. I took a summer class at Dickinson in 1986 and remember it fondly. Nice little town too.
