In the body of an article regarding college students right to carry concealed weapons, former RINO US Senator and current Trustee of University of Utah dropped this little gem.
"Utahns "sometimes think gun possession is a God-given right, not a constituional right...I tell them I don't ever remember seeing Jesus packing heat."
According to Garn, the Bill of (God-Given) Rights is actually Government Given. Sometimes I really like the title EX-Senator.
Luke 22:36 Then said he unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one.
space cadet.
How many times has he actually seen Jesus?
When Jesus was around, "heat" hadn't been invented.
And then there's "Luke 22:36":
"He therefore said to them, But now let him who hath a purse take it, and, in like manner, a scrip; and let him who hath not a sword sell his garment and buy one."
"The Son of man will send his angels, and they will gather out of his kingdom all causes of sin and all evildoers, and throw them into the furnace of fire;" (Mathew 13: 41-42).
GOT HEAT?
"Do not think that I came to bring peace on earth. I did not come to bring peace but a sword." - Jesus, Matthew 10:34
LOL - good answer
This idiot also needs to be told the government can give no right that they already havent taken away.
I guess I could add that I never read anywhere in the Gospels of Jesus supporting the idea of sending a self serving, bald headed, sniffs-his-own-farts political hack into space at taxpayer's expense, but that would probably be construed as being mean spirited...
