Maybe I'll check out the book, but it sounds kinda silly to shoot a guy in the head and crash his plane. Just think about a car wreck, theres a myriad of injuries that could occur and all different type of "perforations" to the body.
Also killing someone over campaign laws is ridiculous, both sides break them all the time, they get fined at worst.
