As was ex-speaker Foley in Washington. It can be done -- it is a matter of just not throwing our hands up and accepting defeat.

At least we try to make a race out of it -- even if it is a 10-15 point race.

In the 2003 special election, district 8 voted 80% "no" on Gray Davis' recall from office. Only 18% of the district's vote went to Arnold. In the 2000 general election, the district voted 77% Gore to 14% Bush. They just elected themselves a mayor whose first official act was to hand out homo marriage licenses -- against state law.

And you're talking a 10-15 point spread on a race between Pelosi and a true conservative like DePalma?
