First rule of NYT journalism: Always, always, always believe everything a prisoner tells you.
What amazes me is, all these Iraqi's speak and understand English.

Ask me if I care.

Of course you do. That's your name, isn't it? ;-)

No, I'm with you. It would be hard for me to care less.

And all these fine, upstanding terrorists would never lie, to make the US look bad. (/sarcasm)

It's only in Lesson 18 of the Al Qaeda terrorist manual.

http://www.usdoj.gov/ag/manualpart1_4.pdf

PRISONS AND DETENTION CENTERS

2. Complain [to the court] of mistreatment while in prison.

6. During the trial, the court has to be notified of any mistreatment of the brothers inside the prison.

You should care just enough so that you know the lies the RATS are spinning. You can't counter them otherwise.

It was one night in November

The libs keep screaming this is a widespread scandal from Bush on down ... yet all they can keep coming up with are these lone nights in these lone cell blocks in this lone prison, exactly as all of our leading military generals have all testified under oath. The libs are challenging their integrity and patriotism by insisting there's more 'there' there when all their textbook story prisoner tales are totally consistent with all that our military has testified too. It's put up or shut up time, CBS, NY Times & Wash. Compost - either report something serious or quit slandering our troops!

after finding a broken toothbrush they suspected that he might use as a weapon.

This just killed me. I'd suspect a broken toothbrush held under such circumstances might be used as a weapon as well! After all what other purpose was it for? Digging out Alcatraz style? The desperation of the press shines right through when the extreme emotion within their bias gets mixed up with the story and they reveal the absurdity of their position and the lack of any sense for proportionality, rationality and reason in the actual ramifications with the underlying facts!

Thank you for that reminder - it should be spread far & wide lest the terrorists contine to use those in the press who are now near useful morons (this generation is beyond the level of idiot so frequently encountered in the cold war)

Also note this article -- the prisoners were being punished for inciting riots and raping some other teenage prisoner.

I think they were being treated to leniently.

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1140213/posts

"The documents show that MPs staged the photographs to discipline the prisoners for acts ranging from rioting to an alleged rape of a teenage boy in the prison.

On Oct. 24, the MPs decided to punish three detainees suspected of raping a teenage boy at the prison. To make the men confess, the MPs stripped them and handcuffed them together. "They started to handcuff the two rapist together in odd positions/ways," England told investigators. "Once the two were handcuffed together, the third guy was brought over and handcuffed between the other two. Then they were laying on the floor handcuffed together, so all the other prisoners could see them. CPL Graner and SSG Frederick then asked me to start taking pictures with the camera."

Also that day, MPs punished seven detainees they said were instigating a riot in a part of the prison outside Tier 1A. The detainees were stripped and forced to the floor."

If the Slimes were TRULY interested in reporting about an Abu Ghraib prison that was a "center of violence and fear", they should do a series on the abuses that took place there under Saddam, and their and CNN's role in covering that up.

That's more of a scandal than the army's alleged cover-up of the atrocities at Abu Ghraib (by putting out a press release the day after CENTCOM learned of the allegations, investigating thoroughly, and court martialing the perps).

I suspect that the fear and abuse was greater under Saddam... Some would call it "torture."

Oh, NO, those poor little al-Quaeda Terrorists had a BAD TIME in jail? Will the whining never END??? I used to say to my son, "I can't HEAR you when you whine." and it stopped immediately. Perhaps we could say that to the --- LIBERALS.

Panties or a wood chipper. Wood chipper or panties... Hm, that's a tough choice. /s

(Not that I approve of the idiots who were turning the prison into their own porn palace. They should be groveling to their fellow troops asking for forgiveness. Their despicable behavior has hurt our brave and good military personnel.) In the end, however, I would choose the panties.

The networks are sitting on the pic/videos of 'torture by Saddam' - "acts of torture carried out by Iraqi Republican Guard and Saddam Fedayeen militiamen" for how long now?? Hell, they sell them in the Baghdad marketplace....a man being eaten by a dog as Saddam looks on.

Video available back in 2003.Time to bring it back as a reminder!

In the end I would choose my head on which to wear a 'big military issued granny' pantie.
