If the alleged MI officers in the photograph knew the reason for the treatment, I could see them not interferring. If those detainees on the floor in the picture did that, they deserved much worse.

I doubt an "only following orders" or a "but this was condoned by MI" defense is going to go very far. Besides, according to the Taguba report, the FRAGO putting MI in charge of the prison wasn't issued until November 19. So I don't know why she was listening to MI in the first place. Besides, why would MI care about a rape by gen pop prisoners?

The fact that the abused prisoners were raping scum doesn't excuse what leash girl and her cohorts did. But it will make the American public less sympathetic for what was actually done to the "innocent" prisoners.
