...But, and here's the rub, I was chastised by several in the thread for printing the f and f-ing words. My response was removed by the moderator No record on FR. I was stunned. It took a day for me to post a "vanity" about what did I do that was wrong? Like minded folks told me to shut up, get over it. JR wrote that he would be more than willing to ban me from FR, forever. At that point, I conceded that I had violated the rules, and apologized. There is no record of this on FR...
... Subsequent to this action, I stayed away from FR, for a time. Upon returning, it seems that a few of those I corresponded with had been banned. I don't know the reason. In my experience on FR, I have read profanity, personal attacks, and racist remarks of all sorts. And I have resorted to reasonable debate with the individuals, and have never hit the abuse link. My question is, what exactly are the standards and practices of FR? You can use the word, but, you cannot spell it, unless, certain letters are deleted or substituded. You can attack public persons with vile, puerile comments, with the argument, they are public figures, we have a right...
...Don't get me wrong, most of the folks here are reasonable, logical, and humorous, in their posts. I like this forum. I don't have time to deride every political, so called debate site, in the web. It's those of you I ask, what are the limits???
...If I don't respond, it's because I got the boot, or I'm dead. Have fun FRiends...
The preferred standard is to not post vulgarities, profanitites, etc, not even disquised with blanks or special characters, etc.
Thanks
I have never hit the abuse link on this forum either. I was raised to handle myself as a man without having to tattle and run to others for help. That virtue is just ingrained in me. But maybe I was just raised differently then most.
