Gasbag retires from the Senate and his grace note is an antiisemitic screed.

No penalty when a Democrat does it.

And Hollings didn't mean anything racist by his 'Africans are cannibals' remark a couple of years ago.

Antisemitism yields an additional automatic 4 to 8 points in any Zogby-sauced poll.

Geez. Next you're gonna be telling me the Dems have a Ku Klux Klan member in the Senate.
Oh.
Never mind...

That's a fact. Remember when Zogby had Dean ahead in the New Hampshire primary. You can bet it had more to do with Dean's
advocacy for "even handedness" in Middle East policy than any
data his polsters collected. "Even handedness", being State
Department Arabist for a tilt away from Israel.

I'm sure Buchanan, Reese, Sobran, and Rockhead agree with this Senator.

It will blow over, just like all the Dems' comments. It will get shoved under the rug.
Pubs don't know how to make issues out of issues. They only know how to resign.
What happened to all the Dem memo links, etc.?
Dems know this, too, will blow over -- with complicity from the major media who are helping to bury it.

"You'll find in it there's no anti-Semitic reference whatsoever." He's right. Claiming that Bush did something to get Jewish votes is not anti-Jewish.

When a Democrat says something, it's an astute observance.
When a Republican says it... well, you know.

So Foxman has awakened from his slumber. I recall no outrage or even comment about the brutal beheading of Nicholas Berg.

This isn't the first time Hollings has voiced his views in the last 60 years. SC has apparently supported his ideals since they have chosen him to represent them in public office since 1946. What say you, SC?
To: veronica
That is o.k.
hollings is a democrat.
He can say or do as he pleases without negative consequences.
So long as he hates President Bush, he is o.k. with the liberal Jews.

You gloss it over by careful word
selection. Your description makes
Bush the only villian according to
Hollings. Hardly. Jews are shown
in a villainous light. Wolfowitz,
Pearl & columnist Krauthammer, all
Jews, are named as instigators of
an allegedly frivolous war that he
Hollings notes killed or maimed
thousands of our troops.
Bottom line, some Jews would vote
for Bush in approval over a bloody
& needless war(yes Holling's piece
makes that clear) for the U.S., as
long as Israel benefited. And Jews
in top positions invented the war
for which Bush fell.
Only lyin' Dems could spin this as
"no anti-Semitism". So why you???
To: txrangerette
Wolfowitz, Pearl & columnist Krauthammer, all Jews, are named as instigators Did they not support war with Iraq?
Bottom line, some Jews would vote for Bush in approval
Hollings claimed that was Bush's plan, he didn't say it would work.
