That's right. It's a crude knock-off of Heironymus Bosch's hellish visions. Whatever things Time magazine may be accused of, subtlety isn't one of them.
thanks. I didn't realize a thread was already started.De nada.
Great minds think alike. :o)
FWIW, your thread title is more informative.See also, this thread about a PREVIOUS Time magazine cover of President Bush:

There is an axiom in American politics that says whenever a sitting President is running for a second term, the election is more a referendum on him than a judgment on his opponent. President George W. Bush has taken this truism to a new level. With just under a year to go before Nov. 2, 2004, Americans are already finding ways to show how passionately they feel about their President...

That's a stretch ....unless the thought of that idea decades ago when they decided to call their magazine 'Time.'
Simple answer: no. The editors just happened to place the name of their magazine behind the visage of the respective presidents, and thus it appeared that there were horns. (Unless you want to say that Time has a penchant for putting horns on US presidents).
As for the comment that Taguba seems to have a 'Nazi salute' .....oh, come on! He is giving an OATH for goodness sake when he was testifying about the Abu Ghraib what-not. That is not a Nazi salute.
Seriously speaking, it is one thing to be perceptive. It is another to see witches and warlocks behind every door. That should be a trait left to liberals ....it discredits conservatives.
Diabolical Design?
In The Clinton Wars, Sidney Blumenthal, famous for his attribution of the Clinton scandals to what Hillary Clinton called "a vast right-wing conspiracy" dedicated to destroying their progressive agenda, accused Time magazine of purposefully positioning a photograph of Hillary Clinton on the cover so that the "M" in the logo would look like devil horns."As the managing editor of the magazine then," Walter Isaacson later remarked, "I can attest that the 'M' was in the same place it had been for eighty years, ever since Henry Luce decided against calling his magazine The Synthetic Review, and that we had no diabolical designs..."

This is a very good point you make, Spetnaz.
As for the magazine cover...I am less concerned with it then I am with Leftist duplicity at large.
I did a little digging and found the following:
He clearly appeared with "horns" on 4 of those issues.
That said, thanks again for your "timely" post. Many sins can be charged to the people at Time. There's no need to concoct more.
