Gail, the TX coord and I will get a group together for San Antonio!

I regret VERY MUCH that I won't be able to attend the SATX rally. For some reason, my wife insists that we have a more important thing to do on June 7. I don't know why something scheduled for 2 or 3 days after the rally would interrupt my attendance at such an important event - heck, I'm not delivering the baby, that's why we're paying the doctor!

I'm a NJ refugee and proud resident of SATX, FA (that's Free America, for those of you who haven't seen Red Dawn). I didn't leave NJ just because of the gun issue, but I'll never move back there for exactly that reason. Besides, if I go back there with all of my stuff*, I'll get a taxpayer-paid 1,000 year vacation in Rahway State Prison.

I'm going to be at the Republican State Convention on the days that the MMM will be in San Antonio. I have a personal contact with the manager of a number of radio stations that will probably give us publicity for a counter protest, but, someone needs to tell me when it will be!

Someone needs to join the Halt the Assault mailing list (they need to be female, or at least pretended female-- a male raises red flags). The local people are careful to whom they send info, so you will have to play along and not let them know your intentions.

I plan on bringing a number of flags to display at the rally: Come And Take It (modern and original); Don't Tread On Me; USA; Appeal to Heaven; etc.

I need people to help me hold these flags! If you see me with an armload of flags on 8' staffs, please feel free to take one and position yourself strategically, and return the flag when everything's over.

If anyone would like some of these flags for your own rallies, contact me! Use all caps in your message title, because I receive SO MUCH spam.

The state Republican Party convention will also be underway in San Antonio
at the same time.

It is our understanding that the gun-banners' primary media event will be
a press conference at the HemisFair Park at the base of Tower of the
Americas on June 4th at 10:30 a.m. They will begin to arrive at 10 a.m.

Thanks in advance to all those who show up to give voice to the pro-rights
side of this basic human rights issue. Please send me reports on how it
all went down afterward, as I will not be able to attend myself, but I
would like to hear what transpires.
