We are engaged with an enemy that has such fascination with death, and not just for us, but for themselves.
The video, to my way of thinking, is an ESSENTIAL tool for helping overly comfortable civilians and too-far-removed politicians grasp the mindset of the enemy.
Parents like you are part of the problem, and I submit to you that we can spend all the money we want, but until we address the fact that parents are generally less educated than their kids are these days, we aren't going to be fixing education any time soon.
Placed in the proper context, the video, or even just the audio, will do what Time, Newsweek, the NY Times and the alphabet networks are trying so hard to undo - galvanize the country against an enemy that means to kill us in the most gruesome possible ways on our own soil.
I don't think you'd feel the way you do if you lost your little bundle of joy to a batch of tainted water at school one day, or a dirty bomb, or a VX rocket, or some other such act of Islamic love. I think you'd want everyone to know what we are up against.

"We are engaged with an enemy that has such fascination with death, and not just for us, but for themselves."
And so are many of our own spoiled citizens who yearn for a leaders like Nero. I stand with the Greatest Generation against gratuitous sex and violence in public. I pledged to defend our U.S. Constitution and various state constitutions long ago and have seen more than enough violence. One thing that became obvious is that spoiled brats don't simply defend. They only get a thrill out of watching others suffer.
If so many of our citizens weren't so spoiled and selfish, they would remember that Americans and others were attacked on our soil without being entertained by the Spectacle. The Spectacle does nothing to help. People in the US watch it with relish (and olives), and they'll still fail to show up at the polls to vote for Bush.

No, teachers are much more a part of the problem. Teachers have lobbied hard for over 35 years for policies and laws to destroy the family. Address the fact that the NEA is morally bankrupt.
The Dept. of Education should be shut down.
Send more Americans to initial training, expand our military, and teach 'em to kill, kill, kill. They can be more effective at doing so without being filled with hatred and cruelty. But the desire to have all of our youth view a film of a man having his head sawed off is perverted and beside the point.
There is one thing that I'm being convinced of. Maybe our forefathers should have turned back the immigrating hordes of the late 1800s and early 1900s, after all.
