I remember reading as far back as a year ago that the State Dept didn't trust Chalabi one iota.

Chalabi was a top lobbyist on Capitol Hill calling for toppling Saddam and helped get a bill passed that paid him gargantuan US tax dollars.

Talk about feathering your own nest.

Early assessments of Chalabi as a peddler hawking self-serving information who was obsessed with his own financial motives were apparently dismissed.

Informed people know denizens of the Mideast swamp crawl the globe as agents, double agents and triple agents selling information to the highest bidder. The only law that prevails in that part of the world is socialistic Darwinism: "survival of the fittest" .......the strong survive by eating the weak.

There were ominous signs about Chalabi for a long time. But Chalabi was a teflon-coated neocon confidant b/c he promised neocons a new secular Iraq. It was neocon Richard Perle who was overseer of the "Chalabi Intelligence Network", for which the US paid Chalabi and his London-based INC 92 Million US dollars (and Perle got how much?).

The INC facilitated the effort to feed bogus intelligence to the Pentagon and the CIA. After the US invaded Iraq, our military could not even find the alleged agent network Chalabi said he ran. Chalabi's explanation?.." They are in hiding"...

What a crock. "Uriah Heep" Chalabi was running the classic "Intelligence for sale" scam. Every con artist and their cousin came crawling out of the woodwork to cash in. Perle was the author of it.

Chalabi's head is squarely on the chopping block. Good news for us; bad for the neo-con artists.

N/c's are working overtime to shed the "neocon" label....... a label they calculatedly took on so as to distinguish themselves from us accursed social conservatives who are pro-life, pro gun, for controlling spending, for less government, controlling our borders. When was the last time you saw Perle and the n/c's at a pro-life rally (/sarcasm)?

I guess Dickie Perle must be all broken up about Chalabi. However, we should be ever mindful that he, Frum, Feith, and the rest of the agenda-driven neocons won't feel any compunction about jumping on the Kerry election bandwagon. N/c Bill Kristol has already said he's willing to do so. Watch Kerry do major fellating on the neocons. October Suprise anyone?

N/c's association with conservatism "coincidentally" peaked with the war on Iraq, and lasted about as long as a weak dose of Viagra.

"Conservatives" my Aunt Tillie. Issues, principles and loyalty are cornerstones of conservatism.
