Is a Democrat pro-life politician sinning by belonging to a party that clearly supports abortion?
Is this a politician who has voiced his opposition to abortion? Has he supported life? Note that the pol doesn't refute the premise of his treatment - he simply asserts he is identified as "a good guy".
Unless this individual has demonstrated his support of life for the unborn, he is not in agreement with the teachings and requirements of the Roman Catholic church.

Got a response, unfortunately the source is NRLC, which is a bit flaccid in its assessments.
Stupak is 91% pro-life; the only bad vote was on Medicare Modernization.
Of course, there could be OTHER reasons for which his Bishop is giving him troubles--dunno about that.
