When I went through OSUT at Knox in '85 (MOS 19D), we RA guys didn't get a bit of bayonet training, only the NG guys. When I asked my Drill, I got the lamest answer I'd ever heard from him..."There's no excuse for letting your enemy get closer than 300 yards of you." Sheesh...

The next time we went to the field, I pulled one of my NG buddies aside, and had him show me what I'd missed. That's the only bayonet training I ever received. Pathetic.

With that MOS, you were a smarter recruit than I. ;-) Everyone in my OSUT did the same training all the way through.
