We’ve had some fun with John Kerry’s French connections. The video “Only Thinner” is wildly funny and makes an important point: John Kerry has a surprisingly French view of the world, complete with quasi-socialist economic policies and a consensus driven approach to the war on terror that boarders on appeasement.
But there’s a serious and troubling side to this controversy; one Big Media doesn’t want us to know about.
To begin with, conservatives have tried in vain to pinpoint which foreign leaders support Kerry. He claims to have met with them “face-to-face,” they have sworn their allegiance to him, but Kerry won’t name names.
But we’re at the point now where Kerry must name names. As we have reported (and few others have), John Kerry and his ally in the US Senate Joe Biden (D-DE), claim to have had secret conversations with French leaders. They swear the French are ready to join the war against terror. But John Kerry doesn’t have the legal authority to strike such deals. So you can under stand why we are getting a little testy about the issue. Contrary to Kerry’s assertion, it is our business.
Well, we think we may have a name. We think we may well know who one of those ghostly “foreign leaders” is and it may even be the same person through whom Kerry has struck his secret deal with the French. His name is Brice Lalonde. He is the Mayor of Saint-Briac. He also served as Minister of the Environment when Francois Mitterrand was President of France.
He is also John Kerry’s first cousin. And you may or may not be surprised to know he’s a Socialist.
Coincidence? Maybe. But Kerry recalls playing with Lalonde as a child on family visits to Saint-Briac, his mother’s ancestral homeland. So it’s reasonable to assume they’re close.
Could Brice Lalonde be Kerry’s “Foreign Leader” and conduit to French President Jacque Chirac? We think we have a right to know.

According to " John F Kerry, The Complete Biography By The Boston Globe Reporters Who Know Him Best,"
The Forbes family " summered " in Saint Briac, which gives the impression that they lived in the US. But,it seems they lived the rest of the year, in Paris.
It appears that Kerry's mother was raised entirely in France and did not emigrate to America, until the early 40's, when she was engaged to Kerry's father.

In 1940,Kerry's mother wrote a letter to her fiancee, Richard Kerry, stationed in the US, expressing her trepidation about leaving France,but, the Germans were entering Paris and she had no choice.
" I am so scared of coming to America.."
Ergo- Kerry's mother and his maternal grandparents and aunts and cousins must have spoken with a French accent,which somehow Kerry thought was an Irish brogue.
And his paternal grandparents had Austrian accents like Arnold Schwarzenneger-again, Kerry thought this was an Irish brogue.
Could Kerry be that much of a dope that he didn't understand that French and Austrian accents are not indicators of an Irish heritage ??
Or is he just plain duplicitous and deceptive ?

The Associated Press reported today: "With the race for the White House turning nasty - and France-U.S. ties not quite mended from the Iraq war - Kerry's Gallic clan, when questioned, talks up his American-ness. Some are keeping a low profile, saying too much talk about France could be political arsenic."
Lalonde admitted, "I'm afraid to hurt him," but like other Frenchies has a Kerry bumper sticker pasted to his car.
Ian Forbes, Kerry's 85-year-old uncle who lives at Les Essarts, said: "Monsieur Bush is angry with France. We don't want to accentuate the connection between Johnny and France."
Curiously enough, Lalonde and company made no denials about Kerry being a socialist.

I think Kerry's a dope for thinking we don't see through all his lies. And although the American public fell for Clinton's lies, I'm not so sure about Kerry's. While Bill Clinton was (to some)a likable liar, Kerry is just a liar.

Kerry has also been seen about town with her French cousin, Brice Lalonde, a former environment minister and Greens leader.

Thanks for that link. It sounds like Lalonde was even closer to Mitterand than I realized:
In 1990, with the approaching defeat of the SP evident, Lalonde abandoned the government to form GE. It is widely believed that the President Franois Mitterrand actively encouraged Lalonde's move, hoping GE would pick up disaffected SP voters in future elections and redirect their vote back to the SP.
I have a friend who is a French conservative (there are a few, LOL!) who once expressed this opinion about Mitterand to me:
Briefly, the French problem is not only that, as the French humorist Pierre Dac put it more than half a century ago, "French are 'anti' everything that is 'pro' and 'pro' everything that is 'anti'", meaning that the first French tendency is to object to whatever is presented, but mainly that the that state services -- utilities, transports -- are controlled by leftist and communist unions that paralyze the country with strikes each time they are displeased with something, a situation that has been aggravated by the disgusting Mitterand's socialism. Intelligence services are said to be a nest of communists.

First, I apologize for repeating this joke, but I do it because Kerry used to play up being Irish, when he isn't, and he knows it.
Medved reported that Kerry made reference to his supposed-Irish heritage by saying that his shelaliegh (sp? sorry) was swinging just fine.
Kerry is as crude as his kid is.
