To: French-American Republican

It's an Irish surname, I know.

Well, probably Norman-Irish I should say, but the Normans went to Ireland so long ago that they're more Irish than the Irish -- to use an old Irish term.

So you're right, French, but from so long ago that they forgot they were French.

I've heard on French television the name DeLay, but since it wasn't written I don't know whether it's the same spelling.
