Amazing... our troops are being shot dead, and these media whores are pulling the top generals from the battlefield.

The Republicans have a Senate majority. So some Republicans on committee must be voting for this crap.

McCain and Warner.

If they were truly interested in the truth, they could take their testimony via closed circuit TV (so the generals did not have to leave the battlefield), and without news media present.

With drunken ted kennedy the hero of chappaquickdick leading the charge, maybe some of the generals other than kapinski will shoe up wearing neck braces.

This barbra streisand has got to stop, we are in a war and these dim wits don't understand that.

Wonder when the last time some of them put their pink bodes in the way of danger, I know when they were committing atrocities in viet nam and that is why they are so enamored by AG and so poed cause they weren't invited to be part of the fun and games.

From the article:

Sen. John Warner, the Virginia Republican who chairs the Senate panel, released a letter in which he said the generals could appear by video teleconference.

Warner said the Pentagon told him that the generals would be in Washington for conferences.

It's the headline that is biased and misleading ... surprise! surprise! /sarcasm

Seems "Rumsfield had the Senators for breakfast" (my take)...He explained, at a breakfast he invited some Senators to, how much time the DOD was spending preparing for and attending hearings and they do have a war to fight... I saw Hunters' interview on TV and he was the grownup.

The hearings on the 25 billion dollar request is being used as a platform to pontificate about the prison scandal.

There are not enough of us that care, with enough power or influence to turn this thing around. Silk panties and bare j jackson nipple scandals are what the people want... and that is what Congress is going to give them.

As a result of our SEX obsessed "purity police and witch hunt coven leaders," 911 will probably look like a sunday ice cream social...

When we are all dying of some type of biological attack... and burying entire cities because of the plagues released by terrorist driven Islam... it will be instructive to remember that silk panties and dog collars, along with silencing howard stern were the proper priorties in this time of war... I am sure it will be very reassuring as our grandkids bleed to death from internal organ hemmoraging, to think about all the silk pantie perversion we punished and prevented... at least the mussies will know we were a "pure and holy" bunch of infidels, they were killing.

This war needed to be waged in at least 22 Islamist nations... as a START... followed by at least two decades of international MOP UP in all the new democracies and our own free nations. Islamist terror cells would take that long to wipe out, seeing that so many of them have been in deep cover for a decade or more.

Good bye Miss American pie.
False priorities will be our undoing... so lets get busy on those FCC nipple-regulations and silk panties prevention raids on poor iraqi prisoners.

Go get em john mccain...
teach those soldiers whose the boss senator warner.

Senators are pulling in top U.S. generals from Iraq to tell what they know about the prisoner abuse scandal . . .

June, 1942
Senators are pulling in top generals and admirals from Hawaii to tell what they know about the bombing of Pearl Harbor . . .

Other than the twisted, political agenda of the left, is there ANY reality that would allow us to imagine the GOP in WWII EVER pulling such a treasonous stunt? Do we need any more evidence that the left refuses to acknowledge that we are at war?

As long as the leftists, the 9/11 Commission and the lamestream media exist in this country, AQ doesn't need to fire another weapon at Americans - these entities will gladly and only too willingly fight the battle for them and try to lose the War on Terror.

What a despicable, scurrilous bunch of pathetic, anti-American, losers and liars. It's too bad we don't tar and feather on this counry, anymore . . . (I better stop now).

I thought the military was answerable only to the President. HE is the Commander-in-Chief. What authority does Congress have to pull ANY military person from the field?

(If the current crop of gutless senate worms were around in 1944)

Senate: General Eisenhower, it's our understanding that Americans shot Nazis in the back while storming Normandy beaches.

Eisenhower: Well, maybe that's true, but this is war.

Senate: This doesn't reflect well on Americans, and this action might make people angry and they'd join the Nazis.

Eisenhower: Well, then we'll kill them, too.

Senate: That is so insensitive of you. What will our enemies think if we just go out and shoot them?

Eisenhower: Damn, senator, I've got a war too fight.

Senate: Do you realize that the Nazis and Japanese imperialists are mad at us. Have you heard what Goebbels is saying about us? He's calling us killers.

Eisenhower: Well, that's the idea - kill the enemy.

Senate: This is unacceptable, general. We want you to fly back to Washington for hearings.

Eisenhower: What? We just landeed at Normandy. Our units are scattered. I need to co-ordinate support, communications and logistics.

Senate: Well, the Nazis are very upset with us, and we need to consider their feelings.

Eisenhower: Mr. Senator. What are your coordinates? I have one bomber I can spare.

They could do it one at a time. They could use their heads about it. They could not grandstand.

Nonetheless, they have the constitutional authority to oversee the regulation of the military.

That doesn't mean they have to be stupid about the process, though.

You really think that the Republicans in the Senate have the back bone to stand up to the left in the Senate and media? They sure don't instill much confidence.

These stuffed shirt pompous a holes should be going to Iraq to conduct their hearings instead of bringing important generals over here.
