Legalizing gambling!
12% or higher sales tax!
A defacto income tax!

Unfortunately, alternatives like Kay Bailey would be even worse.

A couple of points:

-gambling is already legal
-the sales tax increase would have only been a half cent to a cent increase so the highest that the sales tax would be it would still be under 10 cents
-no proposal was a defacto income tax.
