A couple items there sound more serious than a normal haunting.

That stuff seems to be tied to any place I've had the bed. Even when I was a kid, she had odd things bother her in her house. Most of the family chalked it up to imagination, but I was there more than once when it happened. I'm thinking of passing it down to my oldest son, but I'll have to have it blessed or something first.

Sounds like a lot to put up with for a bed!--must have a lot of sentimental value. You could try having it blessed, I suppose. I'd probably just get a new bed myself! :) Best wishes with that--said a prayer on it for you.

Thanks. I guess I got so used to it, I just dealt with it. I finally bought a new queen size, just for the extra sprawling room. :)

Haunting tied to personal belongings? In 1983 we rented an apartment in Albany, NY. Ours was the second story of a two story house recently redone. New appliances, new fixtures, new carpet etc.. The landlord was building a studio apartment in what was once the attic. My roommate and I were looking for a 2 bedroom apartment but with the price just being a little higher than we were planning to send on a 2 BR we took this 3 BR unit with the hopes of finding another roommate. On many occasions we would hear people walking in the unfinished studio above us. The first few times we went up the small stair to see what was going on. The door was always locked and there was no response to our knocking. I was able to open the lock with my student ID card. Every time we checked, we found nothing. Sometimes the lights were on, sometimes not. After several times we learned to ignore these strange sounds unless we had company when they occurred. Then we would show our guests that there was no living being upstairs. Turns out that the house was totally redone because of a fire which claimed one life. In the basement of this house we found a roll-up type desk with bumper stickers from all over the US on it. It was in poor condition and did not belong to us or the people renting the first floor. We asked the landlord if we could have it and he said sure, it wasn't his either. We arranged to have it removed and once it was gone we never heard the walking above us again. I believe this desk must have belonged to the person who died in the fire or someone associated with him.

I know this is an old thread, but I just saw it and your link is quite interesting.

"Arlington - Arkansas Road-House - A big house on a hill where a boy murdered his family in the 90's. It's said that if you go into the house mysterious people run out, weird noises our heard like footsteps, doors slamming, windows breaking. - November 2003 Update: The house was built in the 40's. The whole area around it was a ranch, and that's where the family lived. The murders happened in the 60's or early 70's. There are two stories, the first being the family had a retarded son they kept in the cellar, but not abusively. He lived down there, had everything he need, bathroom, bed, television. There is a large walk in freezer down there too. Apparently he murdered his parents and kept the bodies in the freezer, and eventually died himself. The second story is that The kid that lived there wasn?t retarded, and after his parents died of natural causes lived there. It's said he was a pedophile and a child murderer and would kill children and hide their bodies in the freezer. Right now it's zoned for commercial use, so companies keep buying the property with plans to level it and put a building there. About two or three weeks later, they'll sell it. Reports of a family who bought it and started to renovate it. New shingles, new windows, all the graphite on the outside is gone, but 3 weeks later, all work on the house stopped. Right now there is a fence around the property, and the road has been lowered, but you can still see it.

Arlington - Arlington High School Auditorium - A boy committed suicide in the drama room and if you are alone there in the room you can hear a boys voice even though nobody is there it is in the backstage area of the stage you can hear him talk as if he is reciting something and than just stop alot how James died he was reciting a monologue and shot himself. Also if you do not leave him a seat on opening night to each place in the auditorium it has been known for plays to go bad very quickly so the theatre crews always leave him a front row seat empty"

The first story this is the part that I heard growing up."The second story is that The kid that lived there wasn?t retarded, and after his parents died of natural causes lived there. It's said he was a pedophile and a child murderer and would kill children and hide their bodies in the freezer." This house is still vacant today. Its amazing!! Its a big beautiful house, but I don't understand why nobody has bulldozed it if it is so haunted that nobody will live in it.

This second story I have never heard of. Even though I played many a concerts(Orchestra) on that stage. I will have to ask my Bros or any of old High Schools Friends about this story.

Glad you posted that - even on an old thread. Reminded me to ask a visitor here tonight about the bridge.

Neat story about the high school auditorium. It'd be a sell out if they left him popcorn on the seat.

I had the same experience, first when I was about 6, and then a few more times until I was about 8 or 9. In my case, it was a Clown. Yes - I've seen "It" - the first viewing scared the crap out of me because I had almost completely forgotten about my childhood nightmares. This is the first time I've heard people talk about similar experiences - which is kind of reassuring.
