Thank you very much, every one of you, for your overwhelming reception! And I do mean it--it is all very much overwhelming! I'm very proud to be serving as an officer, and I can't wait to get in the fray and lead combat soldiers. I just hope they all have as much patience with me as my wife does! :-)

Today, I spoke on the phone to a nice lady from the transportation office at Seymour-Johnson AFB, and she called me "Lieutenant." It was a little disorienting (I'm so used to "cadet" right now), but I think I can get used to it!
