The radio report said that Pizza Hut has fired the delivery man.
Really? He should get a job with Domino's Pizza.
Not surprising. Though I think the delivery man came out ahead in the bargain. What's your job worth, when compared to your life?
I know a guy who was fired from a mid priced chain restaurant for the same thing. Perp came in the backdoor at closing time and demanded the night's cash at gunpoint. My friend told him it was in the drawer, reached in for it and pulled out a pistol and shot the perp in the face. The bullet went in his mouth, took out some teeth and came out his cheek. He dropped the gun and they subdued him.
Cops all praised my friend for defending himself.
The Restaurant fired him the next day.
"It's my life. I choose which policy to follow."
Sounds like a hard-working, no BS, Red Zone sorta guy. Hope no charges are filed.
I support Pizza Hut. Honeycutt is incapabe of continuing as a delivery driver, being deceased.
If you read the end of the article:
"The victim was taken to a local hospital where he later died, RTV6 reproted."
