A couple of years ago, a tree trimmer at my house cut his arm with a chain saw. He needed something to apply pressure to try to stop the bleeding.


I ran into the house and got some maxi-pads. (Hey, they're big, absorbent, and sanitary.) He decided he would rather bleed to death on the way to the hospital, than go to the ER with a maxi-pad on the substantial wound.

I just watched a rerun of a documentary on the History Channel which talked about some of the atrocities committed by Saddam, Uday and Qusay Hussein.
