Well, they do cite the New York Times, so what you're saying could be true and the quote could still be true.... :-)

Dean and other demo luminaries are sensing and previewing their thought... that Kerry will NOT be the democratic nominee.
I don't think he will either.
Hillary is running folks.
Kerry will be replaced at the last minute after we have expended so much of our energy and resources on defeating him PRIOR to his becoming the candidate.
JUST like hillary bumped off that contender in New York at the last possible moment... Kerry will be dropped at the last moment and HILLARY WILL SAVE THE DAY...
And I think she will win too.
Bush went too soft on the muzzies in the perception of the hawk/conservatives... Hillary is running to out "centrist" him...
I hope she loses, but this is their brilliant strategy.
Dean wants veep with hillary... her the centrist, and he the gravitas/left winger... to make her look reasonable to the center left.
